Hi Jacques, Is there an app to add my images to this site, or do I add them through a browser on my iPhone? I'm just looking for an easy mobile way to do this. Thanks, Jeff

Profile Information

About me:
I am the creator and administrator of iPhone-Shots.com.

Although I'm not a professional photographer (meaning that I don't make a living with photography), photography is an important part of my life. I have been taking photos since I was 13 or 14 years old, originally with a Kodak Brownie camera (!), then with a Pentax SLR. I began with digital cameras in 2002 with a Nikon 995, then bought my first DSLR in 2004 (Nikon D70). I then had a D200 and more recently a D300s. I have a bunch of great Nikon lenses which I think are more important than the camera body itself.

I started to take photos with an iPhone in 2009. While the kind of files you get from an iPhone is very different from the ones you get with a DSLR, I think the iPhone is a great camera. The main reasons for this is are: 1/ I always have it with me. 2/ I can easily process my photos on the iPhone, thanks to the great photo apps available on iTunes AppStore. 3/ I can immediately upload my photos on any website in a matter of seconds. I just love this.

I have been looking for a lightweight camera for some time before falling in love with the iPhone. Although I still like to take photos with my DSLR and spend some time post-processing them in Photoshop, I love being able to shoot anything I want with my iPhone.

I have created this social network to offer iPhone photographers an online place where they can show their work and get critics and comments, share tips and techniques. I love building online communities (I have had previous experiences, some successful, some not), and I'm happy when I can help people who want to improve their knowledge in a field where I have some (modest) experience.

Thanks for reading this and welcome to iPhone-Shots.com!

Why it's important to put a title (and tags) on your photos

When you upload your photos to iphone-shots.com, we suggest that you give a title and - ideally - that you tag your photos. These steps are sometimes overlooked by photographers who want to have their photos on line as fast as possible, but it is an important step. I am going to explain why and I'll essentially give you three mains reasons:

1. A good title means better SEO (search engine optimization)
Besides the fact that visitors will much more appreciate a photo that has a relevant ti… Continue
