iPhone Shots

iPhone Photography Community Website

As a member of iphone-shots.com, you might want to share this community website with other people, for example on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, MySpace or on your personal website or blog.
I am going to list the tools you can use to show you're a member of iphone-shots and the different ways you can link to this website. Most of these tools and links are very simple to use.

1. Get a personalized badge and display it on your site
Go to the badges page (or click on the badges link located at the bottom of every page of iphone-shots.com). From the badges page, you can personalize your iphone-shots badge. To help integrate your badge on another website, you can change the background and text colors, to match the other website's colors. When you're finished customizing your badge, go to the bottom of the form and click on "Share on Facebook" or "Add to MySpace". You can also get the embed code by clicking on it, and right-click, then "Copy" the code to the clipboard. You'll have then to go back to your website or Flickr page and paste the embed code.

2. Share your personal iphone-shots page
Go to your personal page by clicking on the "MyPage" link in the top menu. On the left colmun, below your avatar, find the "Share" icon and link and click it. You'll then see a window displaying links to share on MySpace, Twitter, del.icio.us, Facebook, StumbleUpon, and Digg. You'll also find other options to share with your friends by email.
Another easy way to share your personal iphone-shots page is to put a direct link to it on the website of your choice. To do this, all you need is the url of your personal iphone-shots page. Go to "My Page" and copy the url in the address bar of your web browser. Then paste this url on your Facebook, Flickr, website's or blog's page.

3. Share your iphone-shots slideshow
Yes, you have your own slideshow on iphone-shots. All the photos you have uploaded on the site can be displayed in an elegant slideshow that you can put on another website. To do that, from the top menu, go to "Photos" then "My Photos". Beside your avatar, find the "View Slideshow" link and click it. This will display a slideshow of your iphone-shots.com photos in a new window (if you want to show more photos, just add more iphone photos on the site ;-). Click on "Share" at the bottom of this window and you'll get an embed code that you can copy and paste on your personal page or blog. To see a live example of this, go to this page of my photoblog. You'll see how I embedded my iphone-shots.com slideshow in a regular page of my photoblog. You can do this on your blog or web page as well. If you do it, please show your work and feel free to put a link to your page by replying to this discussion.
You can also click on "share this photo slideshow" and you'll find options to send emails to your friends with a link to your slideshow.

The methods described above are simple and easy to use. Everything has been done to help you share your page or photos on other websites and with your friends and colleagues. If you like it here, please use these tools and spread the word. This is how a web community grows. We need your help and participation.

If you have questions or need help using the techniques described above, please reply to this post. I'll be happy to answer any question you might have regarding these suggestions.

Have fun!
Jacques

Hi Jeff,

To add a photo to the site directly from your iPhone, just send it by email to the personnalized email address that has been created for this purpose. The get your unique address, log into the site from your computer, then go to Photos, then click on Add Photos. At the bottom of the Add Photos page, you'll find the email address I'm talking about.
Regards,
Jacques

Hi Jacques, Is there an app to add my images to this site, or do I add them through a browser on my iPhone? I'm just looking for an easy mobile way to do this. Thanks, Jeff
